Step 1: Open Safari on your iPad and go to the RasterMint converter page.

Step 2: Tap the file selector and choose a PDF from Files, iCloud Drive, or Downloads.

Step 3: Select a DPI quality setting. 150 DPI works well for iPad screen resolution.

Step 4: Tap Convert. The PDF is processed locally in Safari on your iPad.

Step 5: Preview each page in the grid, then download individual PNGs or all pages as a ZIP.

You can use Split View on iPad to open a PDF in one app and the RasterMint converter in Safari side by side. This is useful when you need to reference a document while converting specific pages.

To share a PDF directly to RasterMint, use the Share Sheet from any PDF viewer, select Safari, and the PDF will be available for conversion.

iPads with A12 chips and later (iPad 8th gen, iPad Air 3rd gen, iPad Pro 2018 and newer) handle PDF to PNG conversion smoothly. Documents with up to 50 pages at 150 DPI convert in seconds.

For very large documents or 300 DPI output, the iPad Pro with M-series chips provides the best performance. Standard iPads perform well at 150 DPI for most document types.

Single PNG downloads can be saved to the Photos app or the Files app. You can also share them directly to Messages, Mail, AirDrop, or any installed app that accepts images.

ZIP downloads containing multiple PNG pages are saved to the Files app. Use the Files app to extract the ZIP and access individual page images.
