Where do converted PNGs go on Android?

Downloaded PNG images are saved to your Downloads folder by default. You can find them in the Files app or your gallery. From there, share them to WhatsApp, Telegram, email, or any app that accepts images.

ZIP files containing multiple pages are also saved to Downloads. Use the Files app to extract the ZIP and access individual PNG page images.

Supported Android browsers

RasterMint works in Chrome 90+, Samsung Internet 15+, Firefox 90+, and Edge 90+ on Android. The conversion engine uses Web Workers and the Canvas API, which are supported on Android 8.0 and later.

Chrome on Android provides the best performance for PDF rendering. Samsung Internet also performs well on Galaxy devices.

Performance on Android devices

Modern Android phones with 6 GB or more RAM handle PDF to PNG conversion smoothly for documents up to 30 pages at 150 DPI. Older devices or budget phones may be slower for large documents.

For best results on Android, use 150 DPI for most conversions and reserve 300 DPI for short documents that need print-quality output. Close other apps before converting large PDFs to free up memory.
