Print-quality PDF to PNG

Create print-quality PNG images from PDF pages

300 DPI produces larger PNG files with more pixels per inch. It is useful for printing, archiving, and documents with small text or detailed line art.

When to choose 300 DPI

Use 300 DPI when the PNG will be printed, inspected closely, archived, or reused in professional layouts. For quick previews and chat sharing, 150 DPI or 72 DPI may be more efficient.

  • Office printing and handouts
  • Small text, charts, and diagrams
  • Archival page images
  • High-resolution displays or close zooming

DPI comparison: 72 vs 150 vs 300

72 DPI produces small files suitable for screen preview and quick sharing. A typical letter-size page at 72 DPI results in roughly 576 by 756 pixels.

150 DPI is the best general-purpose setting. The same page becomes approximately 1200 by 1575 pixels, which looks sharp on screen and acceptable for basic printing.

300 DPI doubles the pixel count again to roughly 2400 by 3150 pixels. This is the standard resolution for professional printing. The file size increases significantly, but text and fine details remain crisp even under magnification.

Performance note

300 DPI can create very large canvases, especially for long PDFs or scanned documents. If conversion feels slow, try 150 DPI first or use a desktop browser with more memory.

For documents with 50 or more pages at 300 DPI, we recommend using a desktop computer with at least 8 GB of RAM. Mobile browsers may struggle with the memory requirements of large high-resolution canvases.

File size expectations at 300 DPI

A single letter-size page at 300 DPI typically produces a PNG file between 500 KB and 3 MB, depending on the content complexity. Scanned documents with photographs tend to be larger, while text-heavy pages compress well.

If you need to share multiple 300 DPI PNGs, the ZIP download option packages all converted pages into a single file for convenience.
