Handles multi-page PDFs with ZIP download.

How to convert PDF to PNG on iPhone

Step 1: Open Safari on your iPhone and navigate to the RasterMint converter.

Step 2: Tap the file selector and choose a PDF from your Files app, iCloud Drive, or Downloads.

Step 3: Select a DPI quality setting. 150 DPI is recommended for iPhone screens.

Step 4: Tap Convert. The PDF is processed locally in Safari.

Step 5: Preview each page, then tap to download individual PNGs or all pages as a ZIP.

Where do the PNG files go?

When you download a single PNG, Safari offers to save it to your Photos library or the Files app. For ZIP downloads containing multiple pages, the file is saved to the Files app or your Downloads folder.

From there, you can share PNGs directly to Messages, Mail, AirDrop, or any app that accepts image files.

Why use a browser tool instead of an app?

PDF converter apps on the App Store often bundle subscriptions, ads, and file upload requirements. RasterMint avoids all of these by running in Safari.

There is nothing to download, no account to create, and no subscription to manage. Open Safari, convert your PDF, and move on.

Performance on iPhone

Modern iPhones (iPhone 12 and later) handle PDF rendering well. Documents with 20-30 pages at 150 DPI convert quickly. For very large PDFs (100+ pages), consider using a desktop browser for faster processing.

300 DPI conversion on iPhone works but uses more memory and may be slower than on a desktop. 150 DPI is the best balance of quality and performance for mobile use.
